From a young age I knew what I was going to do. There was no doubt in my mind that I was destined to be an artist in some way or another.
Through many attempts I finally found my medium, photography. I love the way it allows you to so accurately capture the beauty God has put all around the world, and then share it with others.
The beauty on this earth & the people on it deserve to be captured. As a photographer I'm always seeing God's creation in new and creative ways. It not only makes me thankful for life, but also helps me appreciate all that He has given us.
This changes the way I approach your session or wedding day. I'm not looking to just copy your pinterest board, instead i'm trying to capture the moments that speak to who you are as a couple and tell your story.
As i've grown in this industry, I've realized that life is to short to be constantly trying to measure up to others. I'm working on embracing my own individuality in this market, and trying to focus less on what other's are doing. It's time to quit the "copy game" and give my couples what they deserves-unique photos infused with all the feelings and emotions of their thoughtfully curated wedding day.
What I'm
loving
The best way I could describe the look is "fly on the wall." It's when the photographer takes a step back and stops trying to pose or curate, and just takes a photo of how it's actually happening.
What I'm
learning
Recently, i've been obsessed with finding more creative/artistic ways to capture portraits that not only make you look amazing, but truly capture the essence of the moment.
I've also been experimenting with the use of light and shadow, flash vs. natural light, and incorporating continuous lighting during the wedding day for moments like the first dance, entrances, and speeches.
What I'm
not about
Stressful wedding days. I've been encouraging clients to go with longer packages 10-12 hours so that we have ample time during the day to capture candid moments, and get creative during individual and group portraits. Time flies, so why be stressed on one of the best days of your life!
what I'm
looking forward to
Traveling! As my photography journey grows it's beginning to take me to new places. I've always wanted to be able to see & enjoy different parts of the world, so I'm excited to finally be able to!
